Enrolling in a Program
For this step, we recommend creating a test profile that has permission to participate in a CE Program. CE Program permissions are determined by group, attribute value or a combination of the two. Permissions for a program can be set when adding or editing the program. By adding a new group for the test user, you will be able to keep the CE feature hidden from other members if you choose to. Only users who are eligible for at least one program (based on program permissions) will see the Continuing Education portion of the profile, located under My Features.
For a user to apply for a program or report credits, he or she will navigate to their profile and, under the My Features tab, select Continuing Education. On this page, the user can apply to a program and report credits.
To apply to a program, click the Add button in the Eligible Programs section.
Reporting Credits
To report credit(s), click the Add Credits link to open the Add Credit modal window. The details of the credits can be added here.
To review the status of reported credits, click the Credits link. Both credits that are assigned and unassigned to tracks will appear on this page. If a user is not Enrolled in any program, all reported credits will be unassigned until the user is moved to enrolled status.
By default, users navigating to the Continuing Education page of the profile will land on the Programs page. This page is broken down into three categories: Completed Programs, Enrolled Programs and Eligible Programs. Users
When a user first adds a program he or she will be in applied status until the administrator approves the user and moves him or her to Enrolled status. Once a user has been changed to Enrolled status, any credits that have been previously logged will be associated with the program's tracks, based on matching credit type. Similarly, any future credits that are reported will be associated with matching program tracks.
When credits are first reported, they are put into Pending status. Credits are Pending until they are approved by an administrator. If you would prefer to have credits automatically approved, the can be set by editing a program's tracks.
