What is it?
Recurring payments can be added to forms so that instead of making one lump-sum payment, users have the option to make recurring payments over a period of time.
How to Access
Navigate to Forms > Create Form to begin a new form, or Forms > Form List to Edit an existing form.
Click on Pricing at the top of the form.
Adding Recurring Payments to a Form
Begin by adding payment fields to your form and setting up the necessary pricing.
On the Pricing page, select 'Add a recurring payment schedule for a field.'
Select the Pricing field that should include a Recurring Payment option, give the payment a description, and select Active status.
Select the interval at which the payments should automatically recur. You may select specific days or dates for the recurring payment (ex. on a dues renewal form, the form can be set to charge a member $10 per month for 12 months, totaling $120 in dues over the year period).
Select the Recurring Option, if you wish to include an initial payment, and what types of installments you wish to use.
Click Save.
Finally, navigate to Payment Options.
Next to the Real-time credit card processing option, make sure that "Accept Recurring Payments" is checked, then scroll to the bottom to save.
Note: In the case that a recurring payment fails because of an expired or cancelled credit card, a retry of the payment will happen in 24 hours of the original submission. Users have that time to go in and update their payment information before they will be required to take the form again to reset the recurring payment schedule.
Stopping Recurring Payments
There are two ways to stop recurring payments.
1. Through the member profile:
Navigate to a member's profile and click on the View Transactions tab.
Click on the red X to cancel individual recurring records, or click Cancel all remaining recurring transactions.
2. Through the form's receipts:
Navigate to Forms > Form List
Click on the Receipts icon underneath the form setup for recurring payment.
Click on the view receipt icon for the individual you are wanting to stop payments for.
Click on the red X to cancel individual recurring records, or click Cancel all remaining recurring transactions.
Note: Canceling a recurring payment will not effect the total balance.
