What is it?
With the Contact Center you can send an email that contains information from a user's profile. This is useful for sending things like username and profile information to your users, or letting them know when their membership expires. You can also greet members by name in an Article or Contact Center message by merging in the data for First Name.
Using the Merge Data Tool
While working in an Article or Contact Center message, click on the Merge Data icon in the bottom row of the editor icons.
This will bring up the Merge Data window. Use the drop down next to Insert User Attribute and select the attribute you want to add to the email.
Once you have chosen the attribute from the dropdown, click Add. This will add the attribute name to the article or contact center message, and once saved or sent, this text will be substituted with the information from the user's profile
